Bio

Short: Jari Salmikivi is a Finnish-born, Sweden-based guitarist and songwriter blending blues rock, hard rock, country and southern rock into melodic, guitar-driven songs.

Born in Lahti, Finland and raised in Sweden, Salmikivi picked up the guitar at 11, shaped by Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler and Thin Lizzy. He studied at the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood (1991–92), then spent the following years playing in bands and teaching guitar in Sweden.

After two decades away, he returned to music with renewed energy, releasing a run of singles including “Push”, “Illusions of Truth”, “Firelight” and the Italian-language “Resta Ancora Un Po' (Stay a Little Longer)”.
